Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, minced onion, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Using your hands or a spatula, mix thoroughly until the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

    Form Patties: Shape the beef mixture into four oval patties, each approximately 1-inch thick. Lightly press the center of each patty to create a slight indentation, which helps them cook evenly and prevents puffing.
