Ingredients

2 cups shredded cooked chicken

1 cup BBQ sauce (choose your favorite brand)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced red onion

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking.

Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, BBQ sauce, diced red onion, olive oil, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Use a spoon or spatula to mix thoroughly until the chicken is evenly coated in the BBQ sauce.

Unroll the Crescent Dough: On a large baking sheet that is not greased, carefully unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough. Gently separate the dough into individual triangles as indicated on the package.

Fill the Dough: For each crescent triangle, place approximately 2 tablespoons of the BBQ chicken mixture at the wider end. Top the chicken with a tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese for an extra cheesy flavor.

Roll the Dough: Starting from the wider end, roll each crescent triangle tightly toward the pointed tip to form a roll. Be sure to tuck in the edges as you roll to prevent any filling from leaking out during baking.

Bake: Arrange the rolled crescent dough on the baking sheet, spacing them about an inch apart to allow for puffing. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Garnish and Serve: After baking, remove the rollups from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. If desired, garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color. Serve warm with additional BBQ sauce on the side for dipping!

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 8 rollups

                  - Serving Suggestion: Serve these rollups as a fun appetizer or a hearty snack at gatherings; they pair wonderfully with a crunchy slaw or a fresh salad for added texture.
