Ingredients

1 package (1 sheet) of puff pastry, thawed

6 slices of bacon, chopped

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

6 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh chives or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin generously with non-stick cooking spray or butter to avoid any sticking issues.

Cook the Bacon: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the chopped bacon. Sauté the bacon for approximately 5-7 minutes, or until it becomes crispy and golden. Once cooked, transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess grease.

Prepare the Puff Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, unroll the thawed puff pastry sheet. Cut the pastry into 12 equal squares, each about 3 inches in size. Gently press each pastry square into the bottom and up the sides of the muffin tin cups to create a little shell for your filling.

Mix the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, crack the eggs and add the milk, garlic powder, onion powder, along with a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk everything together until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Assemble the Cups: Begin layering by distributing the crispy bacon evenly into each pastry-lined muffin cup. Next, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the bacon. Finally, carefully pour in the egg mixture until each cup is filled about 3/4 full. Note that you may have some filling leftovers depending on the dimensions of your muffin cups.

Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. The cheese should be bubbly, and the egg should be set and the pastry will turn a lovely golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Once your puff cups are done baking, remove them from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Using a butter knife, gently run it around the edges to assist in loosening the puff cups from the tin. Carefully remove them and place on a serving platter. Garnish with freshly chopped chives or parsley for a pop of color.

Enjoy: Serve these delightful Cheddar Bacon Egg Puff Cups warm and savor the delicious flavors!
