Ingredients

12 large pasta shells

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

2 cups heavy cream

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to preheat while you prepare the other ingredients.

Cook the Pasta Shells: In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Carefully add the large pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until they are al dente. Once cooked, drain them well and set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare the Alfredo Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Stir in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Add the Italian seasoning, along with salt and pepper to taste. Gradually mix in half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Allow the sauce to cook, stirring frequently, until it thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Mix the Filling Ingredients: In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, half of the shredded mozzarella cheese, the remaining Parmesan cheese, and a splash of the Alfredo sauce. Stir everything together until well mixed and creamy; set aside.

Fill the Shells: Take each cooked pasta shell and generously stuff it with the chicken and cheese filling. Arrange the filled shells seam-side up in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Pour the Sauce: Once all the shells are stuffed, pour the reserved Alfredo sauce evenly over them to ensure they are thoroughly coated. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top for an extra cheesy finish.

Bake the Dish: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 20 minutes, then carefully remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: After baking, remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Before serving, sprinkle fresh chopped parsley on top for a lovely touch of color and flavor.

Presentation Tips: Consider serving with a side of garlic bread and a mixed green salad for a complete meal. Arrange the shells on a large platter, drizzling any extra Alfredo sauce around the edges for a decorative look. Enjoy!
