12 oz (340 g) linguine or fettuccine

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (plus more for garnish)

2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)

1 teaspoon lime zest

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt (to taste)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper (to taste)

Optional: sliced cherry tomatoes and avocado for garnish

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, fill it with water and add a generous amount of salt before bringing to a rolling boil. Once boiling, add the linguine or fettuccine and cook according to the package instructions until the pasta reaches an al dente texture. Once cooked, drain the pasta but reserve about 1/2 cup of the pasta water for later use. Set the drained pasta aside.

    Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet set over medium heat, pour in the olive oil. Allow the oil to heat up for a moment, then add the minced garlic. Sauté the garlic for about 1 minute or until it becomes fragrant, ensuring it does not turn brown or burn.
