Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (85% lean)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

8 large romaine or butter lettuce leaves

1 medium tomato, diced

1/2 cup pickles, sliced

1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

1/3 cup ketchup (for drizzling)

1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)

Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Use your hands or a spoon to gently mix the ingredients until they are just combined—be careful not to overwork the meat to maintain its tenderness.

Form Mini Patties: Divide the beef mixture into equal portions, shaping each one into a ball approximately the size of a golf ball. Flatten each ball to create a patty that is about 1/2 inch thick.

Cook the Patties: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil shimmers, carefully add the mini patties in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Cook each patty for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until they are cooked to your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the patties and cover the skillet to allow the cheese to melt beautifully.

Prepare the Lettuce Cups: While the patties are cooking, rinse the lettuce leaves under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Arrange the lettuce leaves on a serving platter to be used as your buns.

Assemble the Cups: Once the mini cheeseburger patties are fully cooked and the cheese is melted, place one patty inside each lettuce leaf. Top with a generous amount of diced tomatoes, sliced pickles, and finely chopped red onion.

Add Condiments: Drizzle a spoonful of ketchup over each mini cheeseburger lettuce cup. If you prefer a creamy element, add a dollop of mayonnaise on top.

Garnish & Serve: For a touch of freshness, garnish with freshly chopped parsley or chives, if desired. Serve your delightful mini cheeseburger lettuce cups immediately and enjoy this scrumptious bite-sized treat!
