Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (preferably 80/20 for optimal juiciness)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 package (12 oz) wonton wrappers

Vegetable oil, for frying

Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, pickles, ketchup, mustard

Instructions

Prepare the Beef Filling: In a skillet set over medium heat, add the ground beef. Use a wooden spoon to break the meat into small pieces while it cooks. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the beef is fully browned and no longer pink, about 7-10 minutes. If there's excess grease, drain it off and let the filling cool slightly.

Assemble the Tacos: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). On a clean, flat surface, lay out the wonton wrappers. Place approximately 1 tablespoon of the cooked beef mixture in the center of each wrapper, followed by a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Shape the Tacos: To create the taco shape, fold each wonton wrapper in half, ensuring to press the edges firmly to seal them. Next, take the two opposite corners of the folded wrapper and gently pinch them together to form a closed taco shape.

Fry the Tacos: In a large skillet or deep pot, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium heat. When the oil reaches about 350°F (175°C), carefully add a few tacos at a time, being cautious not to overcrowd the pan. Fry the tacos until they're golden brown and crispy, approximately 2-3 minutes per side. Once done, remove them and drain on paper towels.

Bake for Extra Crispiness (Optional): For an added crunch, arrange the fried wonton tacos on a baking sheet and place them in the preheated oven for an additional 5-7 minutes.

Serve: Present the Mini Cheeseburger Wonton Tacos on a large serving platter. Invite guests to customize with their favorite toppings, including diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Enjoy this fun twist on classic cheeseburgers!
