Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (80/20)

8 ounces cremini mushrooms, finely chopped

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste

12 slider buns

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: Dijon mustard and lettuce for serving

Instructions

Sauté the Mushrooms: In a medium skillet over medium heat, warm 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the finely chopped cremini mushrooms and sauté for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they have released their moisture and begun to brown. Next, incorporate the chopped onions and minced garlic into the skillet, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onions are soft and translucent. Remove the skillet from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with the sautéed mushroom mixture, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Use your hands to gently mix the ingredients together until just combined. Avoid overmixing to ensure the sliders remain tender.

Form the Sliders: Divide the beef mixture into 12 equal portions (about 2 ounces each) and shape each portion into a small patty that fits snugly on the slider buns. Press your thumb gently into the center of each patty to create a slight indentation, which will help them cook evenly and avoid puffing up.

Cook the Sliders: In the same skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the patties in batches to avoid overcrowding, for approximately 3-4 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty to allow it to melt.

Assemble the Sliders: While the patties are cooking, you may toast the slider buns in a toaster or a separate skillet until golden brown, enhancing their texture. Once the patties are cooked through and the cheese is melted, place each patty on the bottom half of a toasted slider bun.

Garnish and Serve: Top each slider with a dollop of optional Dijon mustard, a fresh leaf of lettuce, and the corresponding top half of the bun. For an extra touch, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the sliders. Serve warm and enjoy the delightful combination of flavors!
