Ingredients

1 package (9-12 oz) of fresh or frozen cheese ravioli

2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Olive oil, for drizzling

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) so it's ready when you need it.

Prepare the Ricotta Mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese with the egg, dried basil, dried oregano, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended and creamy.

Assemble the Layers: In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish (or another similar oven-safe dish), spread approximately 1/2 cup of marinara sauce evenly across the bottom.

Layering the Ravioli: Carefully place half of the ravioli in a single layer on top of the marinara sauce. Spoon half of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli, taking care to spread it evenly. Then, sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta layer.

Repeat the Layers: Pour another layer of marinara sauce over the mozzarella, followed by the remaining ravioli arranged in a single layer. Spoon the rest of the ricotta mixture on top of the ravioli, add another layer of marinara sauce, and finish with the remaining mozzarella and the grated Parmesan cheese.

Add Extra Sauce: For added flavor and moisture, drizzle any leftover marinara sauce over the top layer of cheese.

Cover and Bake: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 25 minutes, then carefully remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, take the dish out of the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. This will make it easier to serve. Just before serving, garnish with fresh basil leaves and drizzle with a touch of olive oil for an extra dash of flavor.

Enjoy: Serve your Lazy Lasagna Ravioli with a crisp side salad or warm garlic bread to create a delightful meal that everyone will love!
