Ingredients

2 racks of baby back ribs (approximately 4 lbs total)

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust according to spice preference)

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Ribs: Start by removing the tough membrane from the back of the ribs to enhance flavor penetration. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels to ensure the spice rub adheres well.

Make the Spice Rub: In a mixing bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. Stir the mixture until all ingredients are evenly blended.

Season the Ribs: Generously coat the ribs with the spice rub, ensuring that you cover both sides thoroughly. Allow the seasoned ribs to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes, giving them time to absorb the flavors.

Mix the BBQ Sauce: In another bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Continue mixing until the sauce is smooth and well combined.

Layer in the Slow Cooker: Place the seasoned ribs in the slow cooker, arranging them in a single layer. If they don’t fit, cut the ribs in half. Pour half of the prepared BBQ sauce mixture over the ribs, keeping the other half for glazing later.

Cook the Ribs: Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours, until the ribs are fork-tender and the meat has started to pull away from the bones.

Glaze the Ribs: About 30 minutes before you’re ready to serve, preheat your oven broiler. Carefully transfer the cooked ribs onto a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Brush the reserved BBQ sauce generously over the top of the ribs.

Broil for a Glorious Finish: Place the baking sheet under the broiler for about 5-10 minutes, keeping a close eye on it until the sauce caramelizes and bubbles glorious sweetness. This step adds depth to the flavor and creates a fabulous glaze.

Serve with Flair: Once broiled to perfection, remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Cut between the bones to separate the individual ribs and garnish with finely chopped parsley for a pop of color before serving.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 6-8 hours | Servings: 4-6 servings

                      - Presentation Tips: Serve the ribs on a large platter, drizzled with any remaining sauce and a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a stunning presentation. Pair with classic sides such as coleslaw or cornbread for an unforgettable BBQ feast.
